Moderation Committee met here today under the chairmanship of Chairman H.P. Public Service Commission (HPPSC) Sh. K.S. Tomar to declare the result of State Eligibility Test (SET)-2015.
The Committee after discussion decided the cut-off marks in each subject as per criteria fixed by the University Grant Commission for declaration of the above. The candidates of General category securing more than 40 percent marks in paper I, II and 50 percent in paper III and candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PWD securing marks more than 35 percent in paper I, II and 40 percent in paper III had been placed in zone of consideration. Out of 3438 candidates falling in the zone of consideration, top 15 percent i.e. 570 candidates were declared qualified in 19 subjects.

Dr.Amar Dev, Prof. from University of Horticulture and Forestry Nauni Solan, Dr. Mrs. Navedita Sharma, Department of English and Cultural Studies, Punjab University Chandigarh Prof. Lovelina P. Singh, Deputy Secretary UGC New Delhi, Dr. Surender Singh, Member Secretary U-CAT and Secretary HPPSC Shri Sanjiv Pathania and Member Secretary SET Shri Ashok Gupta were present among others.
Meanwhile another meeting of Steering/Advisory Committee comprising of Chairman of HPPSC Shri K.S.Tomar, Pro Vice Chancellor HPU Shri R.S.Chauhan, Vice Chancellor Dr.Y.S.Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry Nauni Solan, Dr. Hari Chand Sharma, Prof. COH University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni Dr. Krishan Kumar, Deputy Director Higher Education H.P. Dr. Amar Dev, Deputy Director UGC New Delhi Dr. Surender Singh, Member Secretary U-CAT and Secretary HPPSC Shri Sanjiv Pathania, Member Secretary SET Shri Ashok Gupta approved the result on the basis of the cut off marks decided by the Moderation Committed. As such the result of SET-2015 has been declared.Shri Tomar said that as many as 17672 applications were received for the SET-2015 as compared to 18935 applications during last year. Out of 17672 candidates, 15844 candidates were admitted provisionally. 9539 candidates appeared in all three papers of SET-2015 in 19 different subjects for which accreditation has been granted by UGC.
Expressing satisfaction over the timely declaration of the result of SET-2015, Shri K.S.Tomar said that due to coordinated efforts and systematic planning of officers and staff of the Commission, the result was declared within scheduled time.
