Second phase of Uttar Batao, Pratiyogita Jeeto Contest received over 50,000 entries

Leading agri business company Syngenta India on Sunday announced over 4143 Punjab and Haryana, one of the first of its kind initiative. Through this competition ‘Uttar Batao, Pratiyogita Jeeto’ designed primarily to raise awareness on safe use of crop protection products, Syngenta plans to reach out to over 3 lakh growers in both states in the second phase. Syngenta is committed to transform lives of the growers and empower the community at large. This initiative was organised in view of this commitment. The contest was also aimed at providing guidance on agronomic best practices, advice on appropriate technologies and how to use these effectively and work sustainably with the resources they have. Susheel Kumar, Commercial Unit Head (North) Syngenta said, “First phase of the contest was a great success and we were able to reach lakhs of farmers, provided them with latest technology and agriculture knowhow  through the contest. Our commitment to address the challenges of our growers has strengthened further and today we announced the winners of second phase. With our unique approach of “thinking like a grower”, we believe in giving the farmers an integrated solution to all their requirements like best agriculture practices, new technologies etc.Through our integrated offers and continuous innovation, we increase per acre yield, help accelerate technology adoption while enabling growers to deal with an increasingly demanding value chain in a profitable manner. We are focusing not only on the large-scale farmers, but also the smallholders’ farmers which constitute the majority of the community”. First and second phase of the contest raised huge excitement among farmers to know more about crop technology along with our integrated crop solutions like GroMore, MaxVeg. Theseare unique crop protocols and agronomic know-how to help the growers establish and protect their crops, increasing yields and improving quality. “We are happy to contribute to the success story of Punjab and Haryana farmers. To ensure, farmers get timely and reliable products, we reached out to the growers through this innovative contest, informed Pankaj Chugh, Campaign Lead (North), Syngenta. Over 50,000 entries came from across Punjab and Haryana. Out of these,19,132were correct responses and were passed through random selection process.Names of 4143 winners for 01 Royal Enfield, 02 I Phones, 40 Gold Coins, 500 Spray Pumps, 2600 Safety Kits and 1000 School Bags were announced today in the second phase, held at a mega event at Zirakhpur. Winners of third phase will be announced on February 15, 2017. 

Our products Axil and Topik,which arewell accepted among farmers of Punjab and Haryana are unique solutions to help growers fight the biggest pain point of Phalaris Minor disease;helping the growers toattain their crop’s potential for wheat crop, added Susheel Kumar. The mega event was attended by more than hundred growers, dealers and distributors across Punjab and Haryana.
