HARYANA ENHANCE EX-GRATIA GRANT TO CENTRAL PARA MILITARY FORCES

While enhancing the scope of payment of ex-gratia grant to members of Central Para Military Forces (CPMF) by including contingencies like performances of their duties during natural calamities, elections and rescue operations, the Haryana Government has decided to enhance the rate of ex-gratia grant to be given to the family members of the CPMF who die in harness or are disabled in the performance of their bonafide official duties while serving in operational area in war or under terrorists or militant attack.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department said that in case of death in war and action against militants or terrorists and death during internal security duty, operations, election duty, natural calamities and rescue operations, the rate of assistance has been enhanced from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. He said that in case disability of 75 per cent and above, the rate of assistance has been enhanced from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 35 lakh, in case disability between 50 per cent upto 74 per cent the rate of assistance has been enhanced from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 25 lakh and in case of disability between 25 per cent to 49 per cent to 74 per cent, the rate of assistance has been enhanced from Rs five lakh to Rs 15 lakh. He said that the enhanced amount is applicable to the casualties which occurred on or after November 1, 2016 only and who are residents of Haryana at the time of joining the service.
