GOALS GALORE IN JUNIOR WOMEN NATIONAL HOCKEY

Hat-tricks by KV Aiswariya (15th, 20th, 38th) and Reshma (12th, 43rd, 49th) helped Kerala Hockey outplay Vidarbha Hockey Association by 11-1 in pool A match of the Hockey India 7th Junior National Hockey Championship 2017 (Women) ‘B’ Division in Bhopal today. Vidarbha Hockey Association’s soliatry goal was scored by Prachi Wanjari in the 63rd minute.

In Pool B, Hockey Mizoram thrashed Hockey Gujarat by 25-0. Vanlalhriatpuii was the undoubted star of the show, racking up eight goals (2nd, 8th, 20th, 23rd, 24th, 27th, 57th, 64th) in Hockey Mizoram’s stellar victory.
Hockey Him beat Hockey Madhya Bharat 11-0 in Pool D. Hat tricks by Manju Chorsiya (3rd, 24th, 35th, 54th), Preeti Sharma (7th, 22nd, 70th) and Ekta Kaushik (8th, 9th, 61st) wrapped up the victory for Hockey Him. 
In Bengaluru, Pool games continued at pace. Mumbai School Sports Association beat Hockey Uttarakhand 3-1 in Pool A. Goals for Mumbai School Sports Association were scored by Rajveer Singh Dhariwala (6th) and Arvind Yadav(31st, 56th). Hockey Uttarakhand’s goal was scored by Mitesh Singh in the 50th minute.
In Pool D, Hockey Madhya Pradesh beat Kerala Hockey 5-1. Gaurav Tripathi notched up a sublime hat trick (34’, 64’, 70’) in Hockey Madhya Pradesh’s comfortable victory.

Hockey Bengaluru and Hockey Jammu and Kashmir played out a superb match in Pool D, Hockey Bengaluru the winners 5-4. Hockey Bengaluru’s Umashankar (22nd, 26th) and Hockey Jammu & Kashmir’s Gagandeep Singh Sr. (60th, 68th) scored a brace each in the match.
