Haryana Police has busted a gang of five most-wanted criminals and arrested them for their involvement in more than 16 murder cases, besides recovering three weapons, ammunition and a car from their possession. While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Police Department said that those arrested included Satish alias Monu Kala, resident of Kilod Sonipat, Arvind alias Pandit alias Kala, resident of Balmand district Hisar, Naresh alias Pahlwan, resident of Narnodh district Hisar, Surender alias Foji, resident of Ladpur district Jhajjar, and Ashwani alias Pannu, resident of Najafgarh, Delhi.  

Haryana Police had announced reward of Rs one lakh for the arrest of Satish, who, along with his associates, had killed two persons in Gurugram, namely petrol pump owner Raju Sethi and property dealer Bharat Bhusan. Satish had earlier been convicted and awarded life imprisonment for his involvement in two murders. After jumping his parole in 2008, he formed his own gang and killed eight persons in Sonepat, Gurugram, Jind and Hisar.  He said that Hisar Police had announced reward of Rs 50,000 for the arrest of Arvind, who was wanted in eight murder cases. Naresh had run away in a case in 2016, and had murdered two persons in 2016 and one in 2017. Similarly, Surender was wanted in four murders and two cases of attempt to murder and Ashwani was wanted in three murder cases.He said that Arvind and Satish had so far managed to escape as they used to change their identity. Satish had been staying in Ruderpur, Uttarakhand as Anil Gupta. He said that further investigation was underway.
