NO CRACKERS AND OPEN FIRING IN BANQUET HALLS, BEFORE BOOKINIG AFFIDAVIT MANDATORY

With a view to put a check on bursting of crackers and open firing in banquet halls in the state, the Haryana Government has decided that the owners of banquet halls would take affidavits to this effect before making any booking. In case any incident takes place, then the owner of banquet hall would also be held responsible.

Transport and Housing Minister, Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar, who was presiding over meeting of District Public Relations and Grievances Redressal Committee in Sonipat today, was issuing directions to officers after a complaint was received regarding the death of a youth namely Tushar Batra in a similar incident.

Describing this as a serious matter, he said that negligence in this regard would not be tolerated. He said that directions would be issued to all after holding a meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner concerned. As many as 15 complaints were taken up in the meeting, of which nine were redressed on the spot. The Committee also received more than 100 other complaints.
