HARYANA TO PURCHASE FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT AND BIRE BRIADES TO STRENTHEN FIRE FIGHTING DEPTT

Haryana Government has decided to purchase fire-fighting equipment, special type of motorcycles and fire brigades to further strengthen the fire-fighting department of the state. Bids have already been invited for this purpose.

While stating this today, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain, said that the State Government was sensitive towards safety of life and property of people. 

She said that tall buildings were being constructed in cities and there was requirement of high platform and ladders for assistance of people in fire and emergency situations. Therefore, the State Government has decided to purchase a hydraulic platform of height 101 metres, two of height 75 metres and two of height 32 metres, and two turntable ladders of height 55 metres, she added.

She said that the State Government would purchase 102 motorcycles to tackle fire and emergency situations in narrow lanes. These motorcycles would be equipped with modern technology, she added.Mrs. Jain said that 56 fire tenders would also be purchased to further strengthen the fire-fighting unit of the department.
