Congress MP Kumari Selja on Tuesday gave a zero hour notice in the Rajya Sabha over the Chandigarh stalking incident. A case was registered by the Chandigarh Police against Vikas and other youth under Section 354 D (stalking) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 185 (Motor Vehicle Act) of the CRPC on the basis of a complaint filed by the woman. The incident invited a huge outrage with Opposition parties demanding stern action against the BJP leader's son.The Congress Party accused the BJP of pressurizing Chandigarh administration and hatching a conspiracy to protect Haryana BJP chief's son.

Meanwhile Mr. Subhash Barala, State BJP President, said today that Vernika is like my daughter and we are not pressurising police. The law should take due course. In the meantime CCTV footage of a white SUV racing behind Chandigarh DJ Varnika Kundu's black car confirms her account of being chased on the streets of Chandigarh and terrorized allegedly by the Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala's son. Police sources say the chase is recorded on CCTV cameras on the route and the footage establishes active pursuit.
