Thousands of youths gathered this morning at 11am in Manimajra and carried out a motorcycle rally. The Manch and the BJP workers also carried out a march in Daddumajra and Maulijagran. In the evening, a signature campaign was held at the Sukhna Lake wherein locals and tourists present there put their signatures in support of the campaign. The workers of the Swadeshi Jagran Manch and the BJP also raised slogans of ‘Chinese Bhagao, Desh Bhagao’ during the campaign.

Giving more information, Batra said, “Thousands of youths took part in the scooter-motorcycle rally in Manimajra. The rally was led by ex-councilor cum BJP leader Saurabh Joshi and was jointly flagged off by RSS Seh-Prant Karyavaah Munishwar Ji, Seh-Sanghchalak Rajendra Jain, and Councilors Jagtar Jagga and Vinod Aggrawal. During the rally, residents and shopkeepers of Manimajra were appealed to boycott Chinese products”.

On the occasion, Munishwar Ji appreciated the endeavor of the Swadeshi Jagran Manch and said, “While China is dumping its products in India and strengthening its economy, it is at the same time involved in a border standoff with India. China had harmed Indian interests on various issues including terrorism and supporting Pakistan. Our soldiers are taking on the enemy on the border. Similarly, we should also play our role by boycotting the products made in China and teach it a lesson”.

Meanwhile, Joshi informed that Swadeshi Jagran Manch has started many such campaigns against Chinese products throughout the country. He said that similar campaigns have been undertaken in Chandigarh from 8th August where different programs have been carried out in schools, colleges and various localities and people are being made aware of the harms of using Chinese products. The campaign will end on August 20 at Ramlila Ground in Sector 27 where a huge rally will be organized. The event will be attended by national leaders, he added. Hundreds of members of the Swadeshi Jagran Manch and the BJP were present on the occasion.
