GRURUGRAM ADMINISTRATIONS ASK PEOPLE TO DEPOSIT ARMS IN RESPECTIVE POLICE STATIONS

Ahead of the ensuring general election to Municipal Corporation, Gurugram and bye-election in ward no 2 of Municipal Committee, Pataudi, the district administration, Gurugram has asked all the arms licence holders in the district to deposit their fire-arms and ammunitions with the respective police stations of their areas and gun house owners.Giving this information today, a spokesman of district administration said that District Magistrate, Gurugram Mr Vinay Pratap Singh has issued these orders under Section 144 of the code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. This decision has been taken to maintain peace during the election process for which polling is to be held on September 24, 2017

He said that it has also been decided to allow maximum three vehicles of a candidate and his supporters in the periphery of 100 meters of ARO’s office for filing of nomination from September 8 to 13between 11 am and 3 pm. Apart from this, total five individuals including the candidate would be allowed to enter in the office of ARO at the time of filing of nomination.
