The 41st BSF Inter Frontier Football Competiton-2017 was held at Frontier HQrs BSF, Jalandhar Cantt from 18th Sept 2017 to 22nd Sept 2017. Teams from all BSF Frontiers participated in this competition with full zeal. The Meet was declared “OPEN” by Shri Mukul Goel, IPS, on 18th Sep 2017 in an impressive and colorful ceremony held at Ashwini Stadium, BSF Campus, Jalandhar Cantt.

Mr.R.S.Kataria, DIG, BSF, Punjab Frontier while giving details saidduring long 41st BSF Inter-Frontier Football Competition- 2017, talented players have been selected from participating teams. These selected players will be put through intensive coaching and will be given chance to participate in different National level Football Competitions.The Competition concluded on 22nd Sep’ 2017 in an impressive and colorful ceremony held at Ashwini Stadium, BSF Campus, Jalandhar Cantt., which was presided over by Shri Kamal Nayan Choubey, IPS, Addl DirectorGeneral, Western Command BSF Chandigarh. During closing ceremony cultural programme was also performed by BSF personnel and Punjab Police Pipe Band which was highly appreciated by the spectators.

In his address Shri Kamal Nayan Choubey, IPS, Addl Director General, Western Command BSF Chandigarh, congratulated Shri Mukul Goel, IPS, IG, BSF Punjab Frontier for organizing the 41st BSF Inter-Frontier Football Competiton-2017 in an impressive manner. He also congratulated the team participants for displaying Model Sportsmanship during the tournament. He told the players that in a tournament, participation is more important than Winning or Losing. Stressing upon the need of good Physical Fitness in the life of a Jawan, the Chief Guest stated that besides making Jawans Physically Fit, Sports and Games brought out their hidden talents like Sportsmanship, Competitiveness and  Leadership qualities etc. 

It is worth mentioning here that, Boys team of Punjab under the supervision and coaching of FTR HQ BSF Punjab won the first ever Oorja CAPFs Youth U-19 Football Talent Hunt Tournament. On this occasion, Shri Kamal Nayan Choubey, IPS, Addl Director General, Western Command BSF Chandigarh praised Punjab Ftr for successfully organizing the coaching for the players who participated in the IInd & Final phase of the tournament. He also awarded Rs. 05 Lakhs cash prize to the team players for winning the 1st ever Oorja CAPFsYouth U-19 Football Talent Hunt Tournament.

After completion of the competition positions Punjab Frontier won in the final match defeating Tripura Frontier by 02-00 and Const Kamal Kishore of Punjab Frontier has been declared best player of the tournament. The meet was declared ‘CLOSE’ by Sh Kamal Nayan Choubey, IPS,Addl Director General, Western Command BSF Chandigarh.
