PU CAMPUS: ‘KAVI ANUVADAK PROGRAMME HELD AT DEPARTMENT OF GURU NANAK SIKH STUDIES

Sahitya Akademi (Govt. of India) in collaboration with Department of Guru Nanak Sikh Studies has organized ‘Kavi Anuvadak’ the new literary programme on 24th September 2017 on Sunday at Guru Tegh Bahadar Bhawan. In this programme the invited poet Dr. Manmohan (Sahitya Akademi Awarded) has read his selected poems in Punjabi whose translated version was read in English by renowned Journalist and writer Nirupma Dutt and in the Hindi version translation was read by Sanv Richa ,Hindi Anuvadak and poetessof Chandigarh. 

Prof. Jaspal Kaur Kaang programme Co-ordinator welcomed the audience and expressed the main objective of The Sahitya Akademi of organizing all kinds of literary functions at far off places is to promote the Mother languages and to make a bond age among the inter languages to communicate the concerns and literary variety of the Indian literature written in various languages. Prof. Yograj Chairperson of The Department of Punjabi also expressed his views about Manmohan’s poetry Prof. Emanuel  Nahar Dean Student Welfare was welcomed as guest of honour.

The new literary program provided an opportunity for The audience to meet the ten experts i.e. Dr. Rawail Singh, Dr. Satish Kumar Verma, Dr. Gurdeep Bajwa, Dr.Hartej  Kaur, Parvesh Sharma, Dr. Jaspal Kaur Kaang, Dr.Sudhir Baweja, Jasmine Anand, Dr.  Manmohan, Jatin salwan who participated in The Three day Poetry Translation Workshop  held from 22nd September to 24 September 2017 in which a poetry Anthology edited by Arundhati Subramanium having the poems of 80 poets was translated into Punjabi.

The program ‘KaviAnuvadak’ also provided the occasion to enjoy poetry in original and also in its translation.
At the end Jyoti Krishna Verma Assistant Editor of Sahitya Akademi thanked the  audience. Dr. Sudhir Baweja Conducted the Stage perfectly.
