Arjuna Awardee international wrestler Kripa Shanker's hand has been successfully operated by mico ortho surgeon of hand Salesh Gupta at Arihand Hospital and Research Centre in Indore. Kripa Sharkar recently fractured his right hand during training session with an upcoming woman wrestler Apporva Vaishnav at the Malhasharam Wrestling Centre in Indore.

According to information given by Kripa Shanker from Indore, "such type of injuries are common and some time we think it is not serious. However, after examination, the doctors find is opposite."
It was another setback for Kripa Shanker who was recently provisionally suspended by Wrestling Federation of India for critising the federation on the social media.

Who is Apporva Vaishnav ? The junior woman wrestler is known in Indore as "Lady Sultan." Inspired by her grandfather Approva. After training for few days, the Indore girl was selected to represent India in the World School Wrestling Championship in Indore last year. Her father Ajay Vaishnav was known body builder of his time. He was eight-time "Mr Madhya Pradesh' title winner.
