DIWALI BONANZA TO HARYANA EMPLOYEES: GOVT. ANNOUNCED ENHANCED ONE PERECENT DA

In a Diwali gift to its employees, the Haryana government has announced one per cent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for them with effect from July 1, 2017, thus raising the DA on the pattern of Central government from existing four per cent to five percent. The additional instalment of DA will be paid in cash to all government employees with the salary for the month of October to be paid in November.
While stating this here today, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu said that this would put an additional financial burden of Rs 86.25 crore on the state.

He said that the government has also decided that the rate of DA admissible to employees who continue to draw their pay in the pre-revised pay band or grade as per the 6th Pay Commission, has been enhanced from the existing rate of 136 per cent to 139 per cent of the pay with effect from July 1, 2017. The additional installment of DA will be paid in cash to all such government employees with the salary for the month of October to be paid in November. This would put additional financial burden of Rs 579.54 lakh, he added.
