BSF SEIZES 3.7 KG CONTRABAND HEROIN AND PAK CURRENCY IN ABOHAR SECTOR

Border Security Force (BSF) reported to have seized contraband heroin weighing 3.7 KG  a Pak currency from Abohar Sector in Fazilka District on Saturday.

BSF official spokesperson said on  Novemer 4   at about 1420hrs, KissanGuard Party of Border Out Post Naubreham, Ex- 02 Battalion BSF, Abohar Sector recovered a small cloth pouch from the fields ahead of Border Security Fence.On checking it, Rs. 630/- Pak Currency, some Pak visiting cards, I-Card, etc. were found.

On suspicion, immediately a Special Search Operation was launched by BSF troops in the area between Border Security Fence and International Border. During search, at about 1720hrs, BSF troops recovered 06 packets of contraband (weight approx. 3.070Kgs) valuing more than 15 crores in international market, suspected to be heroin which were buried in soil near an electric transformer in the fields ahead of Border Security Fence.  

The enhanced vigil of BSF troops has once again thwarted the attempt of smugglers/ Anti-National Elements to smuggle contraband items into India.
