VIPUL GOEL RAISES RS 2.5 CRORE IN GIFT AUCTION, MAKES CONTRIBUTION TO PM’S RELIEF FUND

Mr.Vipul Goel, Minister of Industries & Commerce, Skill Development & Industrial Training and Environment, Government of Haryana, auctioned gifts and mementos received by him during his tenure as a minister to contribute to the Prime Minister's National Relief fund. The auction initiative, I for Humanity, was held in Faridabad on Sunday, 14 January, 2018 and aconsiderableamount of Rs 2.5 crore was raised.

Mr.Vipul Goel, Minister of Industries & Commerce, Skill Development & Industrial Training and Environment, Government of Haryana, auctioned gifts and mementos received by him during his tenure as a minister to contribute to the Prime Minister's National Relief fund. The auction initiative, I for Humanity, was held in Faridabad on Sunday, 14 January, 2018 and aconsiderableamount of Rs 2.5 crore was raised.

A sum of more than two and a half crore was collected from the auction of gifts of Vipul Goel, which Vipul Goel donated for the Prime Minister's Relief Fund. Vipul Goel said that it is a matter of extreme self-satisfaction for him that his gifts can be used for the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for the welfare of poor and needy.

He said that BJP government is committed for the welfare of the poor and respect in the hearts of the people values much more than the respect from the monuments. He said that it is his mission to give back to the society from whatever he received from the society. Vipul Goel said that the motivation for the auction of gifts came from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi who had auctioned 460 gifts for NamamiGange Project.

Film actor RandeepHooda said that film stars often auction their clothes or gifts for social work, but auction of gifts by a political leader like this is a new and inspiring step in itself. He said that it is better if gifts can work for the betterment of the people than being decorated them at home.

Earlier, Industries minister Vipul Goel has set up the tallest tricolor in Faridabad, planted two and a half lakh saplings in three hours through Harit Haryana campaign, ran Project Panchhi for providing shelter, water to birds, Digital rally (adressing people at different locations with latest technology) and SadmadhaanDiwas( camps for grievance redressal).

Supporters in large numbers bid for the items that included silver crowns, silver maces, swords, shawls and paintings. The highest bidder of the event was J P Garg of Knorr Bremse India Private Limited who took away a memento for Rs 1 crore.

The initiative was attended by more than 300 socialites, industrialists and educationists of Delhi-NCR at Hotel Rajhans, Surajkund, Faridabad. Showing solidarity to the cause, Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda, singer Richa Sharma and Olympian Gagan Narang graced the occasion with their presence.

Padma Shri Awardee Shekhar Sen enacted a solo musical act ‘Vivekanand’ at the function and on repeated request from the audience, he recited Kabir Dohas in front of the gathering.

The gifts and mementos were presented to Vipul Goel while in his incumbent position for over 1.5 year which served a better purpose in the auction for the underprivileged sections of the society through the PM’s relief fund. The vision behind this initiative was to make an effort to bring about a significant change in lives of millions of people in the country.

Whether any other Minister of Haryana and other Stastes never received any gifts or they are not interested to raise fund like Mr. Goyal. Ministers  in nations can earn billions of Rupees to raise fund, if they follow Mr.Vipul Goel.  Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar CM of Haryana and CMs of other State shoud also follow to set example.
