GOVERNANCE REFORMS DEPARTMENT HOLDS WORKSHOP ON E-SIGN AND TIME STAMPING

To sensitize officers at Headquarters and Districts about e-Sign and Time stamping, the Governance Reforms Department, Punjab today held a special workshop in coordination with Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA) Government of India.

This capacity building workshop was held here in the premises of Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration on e-Sign and Time stamping for officers of the state departments and organization. The workshop was attended by Directors / Joint Directors, Additional Directors, Deputy Directors; Information Security Officers, Superintendent, State / Project e-Governance Mission Teams, Project Managers, Department Nodal officers for e-Governance initiatives who are expected to lead / play crucial role in e-Governance implementation in their regions. Officers / Officials involved in the implementation of e-governance application, e-tendering, e-procurement from various Punjab State Departments and Organizations and for Additional Deputy Commissioners, SDM, Assistant Commissioner General from various district offices of the State.

Senior Consultant Change Management and Capacity Building Punjab State e-Mission Team, Department of Governance Reforms, Government of Punjab apprised the officers about the e-Sign and Time stamping.
Resource person from (C-DAC Bangalore) Dr. Mohammed Misbahuddin covered various topics during half day workshop on e-Sign and Time Stamping including Digital Signatures, Classes and Types of Digital Certificates, Trust Model, Certificate Validation Methods ,Overview of Asymmetric Encryption and Hash Functions ,e-Sign with Demo of Digital Locker, Overview of Aadhaar Authentication and Timestamping - Technical Overview. He also interacted with the officers and gave answers to various questions asked by them.

Sh. Parminder Pal Singh PCS, Joint Secretary cum Director Governance Reforms Government of Punjab welcomed Dr. Mohammed Misbahuddin (C-DAC Bangalore), GoI at the workshop. He also extended vote of thanks.
