PINJORE INCIDENT, FIR REGISTERED AGAINST GO-CART COMPANY, COMMITTEE SET UP TO PROBE

Mr Sameer Pal Srow, Managing Director, Haryana Tourism Corporation, has expressed grief and sorrow over the sad and untimely demise of Mrs. Puneet Kaur at the amusement park in Yadavindra Garden, Pinjore, and set up a committee to go into the incident. 

Mrs. Puneet Kaur, a resident of Bhatinda (Punjab), died in the amusement park on February 14 when hair got locked in a go-cart at Pinjore.   

Mr Srow has constituted a committee of officers of Haryana Tourism Corporation to look into the circumstances and reasons for the occurrence of the incident. It would comprise Additional Managing Director as chairman whereas chief engineer and general manager (management) as members. The committee would make a set of recommendations to ensure that such incidents do not recur in future.

Land had been allotted to Aqua Village on lease for 10 years. A First Information Report has also been lodged against the company. 

He said that directions have been issued to check all swings and rides in the amusement parks across the state to avoid such untoward incident, Mr Srow added.
