SUPREME COURT JUDGE JUSTICE DEEPAK GUPTA EMPHASIZED TO PROVIDE JUSTICE FOR ALL AND SPEEDY DISPOSAL OF CASES

HIMACHAL PRADESH JUDICIAL ACADEMY TODAY ORGANIZED A LECTURE ON “EFFECTIVE COURT MANAGEMENT FOR SPEEDY JUSTICE “

The Himachal Pradesh Judicial Academy today organized a lecture on “Effective Court Management For Speedy Justice “ in the new Auditorium of High Court of Himachal Pradesh in order to apprise the Judicial Officers of the State of H.P. about the mechanism which can be adopted to reduce the backlog of cases and for improving the efficiency in speedy justice. The lecture was delivered by Hon'ble Mr Justice Deepak Gupta, Judge, Supreme Court of India, in the presence of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Karol, the Acting Chief Justice of H.P. High Court and Patron of H.P.Judicial Academy and Hon'ble Mr. Justice Dharam Chand Chaudhary, President Himachal Pradesh Judicial Academy, Shimla. High Court Judges, Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, Justice Sureshwar Thakur, Justice Vivek Singh Thakur, Justice Sandeep Sharma and Justice Chander Bhusan Barowalia were also present on this occasion.

Hon’ble Mr. Justice Deepak Gupta, Judge, Supreme Court of India, emphasized to provide justice to all, which is an essential attribute of the Preamble of the Constitution. He exhorted the judges to work for the society and devise new and effective tools in conformity with the Constitution of India. He apprised the Judicial Officers about the various tools of effective Court Management for speedy disposal of cases.

On this occasion, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Karol, Acting Chief Justice welcomed Hon’ble Mr. Justice Deepak Gupta, Judge Supreme Court of India. He spoke on “Judicial philosophy” and advocated building “Institutional Judicial Mechanisms” while rendering speedy justice.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon'ble Mr.Justice Dharam Chand Chaudhary stated that Justice Gupta is the son of soil and needs no introduction. He exhorted the District Judiciary to strictly follow the Case Flow Management Rules to expedite the delivery of justice and take all possible steps to use process re-engineering for effective management of Courts.

The welcome address was given by Sh. Chirag Bhanu Singh, Director, H.P. Judicial Academy and the vote of thanks was proposed by Sh. Avinash Chander, Deputy Director, H.P. Judicial Academy.

The function was attended by Shri Rajeev Bhardwaj Registrar General, Shri Arvind Malhotra, Registrar(Vigilance), Shri J.K. Sharma, Registrar (Judicial), Shri Rakesh Kainthla District and Sessions Judge (Leave Reserve), Shri R.K. Sharma, Registrar(Protocol and Judges Branch), Dr.P.S. Arora, C.P.C, and about 62 Judicial Officers of Shimla, Solan, Sirmour, Kinnaur and Bilaspur Civil and Sessions Divisions in the State of H.P.
