HARYANA GOVT. SET UP MEDIA CENTRES AT COST OF OVER TWO CRORES IN ALL STATE

Haryana Government has set up media centres at a cost of over Rs two crore in all the districts of the State. This was disclosed by the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal while inaugurating Media Center equipped with all state-of-the-art facilities in Gurugram today.

 While congratulating the media persons, the Chief Minister said that this media center would facilitate the media persons. He said that the state government has implemented Patrakar Pension Yojana and new group insurance scheme for their welfare. The journalists besides making us aware of happenings in the society also present the right picture of the society, he added.

He said that the entire expenditure for the maintenance of media centers set up in every district, would be borne by the Information, Public Relations and Languages Department. With the establishment of the media center, all media persons would be facilitated with the support of necessary equipment and basic facilities available in the centre. The facilities included computers, printers, broadband connection with Wi-Fi, LED TV’s, air conditioner, refrigerator, RO, furniture and other necessary equipment.

He said that media is playing an important role in reaching out to the masses by providing full coverage of the welfare schemes and all programmes of the government. Media has played an important role in resolving the problems of the people by taking it before the district administration through newspapers and TV channels. He assured the media persons that the district administration would provide complete support to the media.
