WEARING OF HELMET MENDATORY IN CAMPUS OF GOVT. AND AIDED COLLEGES

Haryana Higher Education Department has made wearing of helmets and fastening of seatbelt in cars mandatory for all college students even while driving in campus. Those students who are found without helmet or seatbelt will not be allowed to enter the campus.

While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Higher Education department said that this decision was taken in a review meeting of Road Safety Programme held under the chairmanship of Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr Rakesh Gupta. Those students who would not abide by the rules would not be allowed to enter the campus, he added.

He said that Director General of Higher Education has issued directions to the principals of all government, government aided private and self-funded colleges for strict compliance.
