EIGHT BOOKED BY POLICE IN CONNECTION WITH THE CLASH BETWEEN TWO GROUPS DURING THE “BHARAT BANDH” PROTEST

The police has booked eight persons by name besides 8/9 unidentified persons have also been booked in context with the clash between two warring groups during the “Bharat Bandh” protest yesterday in Ferozepur. The accused who have been booked by the police are identified as Ankush Kamboj, Bunty Bajaj, Pankaj Malhotra, Tarun Pilot, Babbal, Bhola  and Raheja under sections 307, 452, 324, 323, 427, 148, 149 IPC (Case number 79 dated 10.04.2018). No arrest has been made by the police till now.

Meanwhile, enraged over the lodging of the case Members of the various Hindu organisations held a meeting in the evening wherein they demanded to cancel the case registered by the police. Today morning also, all the shops in the main market of city area were forcibly shut down. However, after few hours thing turned normal and all the shop were opened.
