SEMINAR ON PROTECTION OF CIVIL RIGHTS, SC AND ST ORGANISED AT MADHUBAN, 50 POLICE PARTICIPATED

A State level seminar on the topic of protection of civil rights, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act was organized today at Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban in Karnal where 50 Police Officers of SP and DSP rank participated.
While inaugurating the seminar, Director, Police Academy, Madhuban, Mr K.K. Sindhu recalled the contribution of Bharat Ratna Dr B.R. Ambedkar in framing the Indian Constitution and in the upliftment of poor and downtrodden. He said that the process of improvement in the society continues by eliminating the ill practices. Laws are also framed for the same purpose to ensure improvement in the society. The seminar would assist the participants to understand the legal provisions and court judgments regarding the protection of civil rights and prevention of atrocities, he added.
Inspector General of Police, Karnal Range, Mr Subhash Yadav also addressed the police officers on this occasion.
Former Inspector General of Academy, Dr. Suman Manjri, District Attorney, Karnal Mr Shashikant Sharma and social activist Advocate Mrs Abha Singal also spoke on this occasion.
