Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering and technology's (GZSCCET) Department of Architecture organized a Farewell Function “Bollywood Premier Night” here to bid adieu to the 25th Batch of passing out students of B. Architecture, 2013 with much fanfare.
The evening started on a cheerful note by welcoming the final year students being escorted by their juniors for a ramp walk to the beautifully decorated themed stage. It was followed with a band performance by Payal Dabra, Davinder, Anubhav, Digangana, Lovepreet & Pranav. Kids of faculty members, Master Bharat Arora and Miss Hasmeet Kaur gave mesmerising performances through music and dance respectively.
All the passing out students were judged for six titles Mr. Red carpet, Ms. Red carpet, Mr. Handsome, Ms. Diva, Best Actor & Best Actress. The title of Mr. Red carpet went to Mr. Rahul Sharma and Ms. Divya Ghogha was adjudged Ms. Red carpet. The title of Mr. Handsome and Ms. Diva went to Akash & Vandita Jain. Best Actor & Actress award went to Ankit & Dolcy respectively.
On the occasion, Hasrat’s choice Awards of Excellence, constituted by Prof. Ripu Daman Singh and Prof. Jatinder Kaur in loving memory of their daughter, HASRAT were awarded to Ms. Dolcy, Ms.Vandita.
A documentary video was also played, which brought back myriad of memories spent in the most outstanding Architecture School of Punjab.
The Chief Guest, MRSPTU, Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) Jasbir Singh Hundal, spoke about the challenges that lie ahead in the professional life. He wished for the success and bright future of the passing out students and encouraged them to perform well in their professional fronts.
Prof. Ripu Daman Singh, Head of Department informed the audience about the students’ achievements at National Level in the past one year.
Special awards were given to Mr.Avish, Mr.Lakshay, Mr.Rahul Sharma, Mr.Manmohan, Mr.Ankit, Mr. Manveer, besides mementos, personalised note, a badge and a souvenir to all passing out students.
Faculty Members Prof. Jatinder Kaur, Ar. Amandeep Khiva, Ar. Ramneet Kaur, AART (student body of the Department) President Mr. Shivam Kamboj and Vice President Ms. Arushi Bansal played key role in the successful event.
