CBI ARRESTS 3 PERSONS ON ALLEGATIONS OF HELPING/ALLURING PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES IN QUALIFYING NEET EXAMINATION-2018

Searches were conducted at residential & official premises of the accused in Delhi, Khurja (Uttar Pradesh) and Ludhiana (Punjab) which led to recovery of various incriminating documents including original educational certificates, admit cards pertaining to prospective candidates of NEET examination, blank amount filled cheques, rubber stamps of some educational institutions, etc.The arrested accused were produced in the Court of CMM (West), Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi and remanded to Police Custody upto 11.05.2018.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested three private persons (including a tout and two others) on allegations of their involvement in illegally helping/alluring prospective students and their parents in qualifying NEET examination conducted on 06.05.2018 and for securing admissions in various Government & private colleges across India. It is alleged that their acts could lead to sabotage of the examination system.

The accused identified as  Mohit Kumar @ Mohit Chaudhary (private person), resident of Khurja (Uttar Pradesh),  Manoj Kumar Sikka (private person), resident of Ludhiana (Punjab) and  Ashwani Tomar (private person) of M/s Akruti Education, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi

CBI had registered a case on 06.05.2018 U/s 120B r/w 511 r/w 420 of IPC against four private persons, residents of Delhi, Khurja (UP) & Ludhiana (Punjab) on a complaint received from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi.
