Haryana Governor, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki today flagged off a 54-member mountaineering expedition team of All India Sainik Schools, to Ladakh Peak (5342 Mtrs) in Manali region of Himachal Pradesh. He urged the team to promote the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat.

The Governor was speaking at the flagging-off function for the team, at Raj Bhavan, here today.

While appreciating the cadets who are part of the mountaineering expedition team, Prof. Solanki said, “This expedition will help in inculcating a spirit of national integration and you will be part of different activities till June 14, 2018. He said, “The expedition team has cadets of 24 Sainik schools of different states and Lt. Col. Astha Kotnala, Vice Principal of Sainik School, Kunjpura will be leading the expedition”.

The governor extended his greeting for the safe and successful expedition to co-incharge, Mr J.S. Gulia and Mr Anurag Semwal. Such expeditions would inculcate values of unity and integrity.

On the occasion, Principal, Sainik School, Kunjpura, Karnal, Mr V.D. Chandola informed the Governor about courageous activities being organised in the school for cadets.
