On World cycling Day Chandigarh Cycling Club proudly organized a maiden time trial event namely "Racing Shivalik" in New Chandigarh. Weather gods were kind to cyclists with mild cross winds and overcast skies. Racing Shivalik witnessed participation from Young boy Aarav Bansal of 6 years to a young mother Neelima Pasrija of 52 years and National level players Shail and Punay. It was first time that we had ten women participants and we are proud of all the participants.
Total of 23,000/- prize money was distributed to winners. Winners of elite men and women category were given ₹5000 (1st), 3000 (2nd) & ₹2000 (3rd) respectively. Special medals were given to two young participants Aarav Bansal, 6 who did ride 10 kms in 45 mins and Ajayteshwar Singh, 10 who did 15 kms in 50 mins. All participants were given certificates.
