HARYANA POLICE ARRESTED KINGPIN OF CANARA BANK ROBBERY

Haryana Police has arrested kingpin of Canara bank robbery, Anil alias Singhania, a member of Delhi’s notorious interstate Neeraj Bawana gang from Julana in Jind.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that police has also recovered four country made pistols, five live cartridges and a motorcycle stolen from Delhi. Atleast eight cases pertaining to bank robbery, loot, decoity, theft and of Arms Act were registered against the accused in Haryana and Delhi. He said that during preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed to have committed bank decoity of Rs9.80 lakh in Canara Bank, Karnal in year 2012 with the help of other five accomplices. He said that detective team of Jind had got a secret information that a suspected youth was roaming on motorcycle in Julana area. Acting on this, a team immediately rushed to the spot and nabbed the accused alongwith illicit weapons. When enquired, he disclosed his identify as Anil alias Singhania, a native of village Singhana in Jind and a member of Neeraj Bawana gang.

The accused would be produced in the court to seek police remand so that his involvement in other cases could be revealed, besides the names of his accomplices.
