VYAPAM CASE: FOUR YEARS RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT TO FOUR ACCUSED INCLUDING CANDIDATE, MIDDLEMEN & IMPERSONATOR

The Special Judge, CBI, Vyapam Cases, Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) has sentenced Sh. Deepak Jatav (candidate); Sh. Dewan Jatav (middleman); Sh. Bhagirath Jatav (middleman) and Sh. Laxminarayan Jatav (impersonator), all to undergo 4 years Rigorous Imprisonment in a case related to Vyapam.

CBI had registered a case on the allegations that the candidate Shri Deepak Jatav conspired with Shri Dewan Jatav and Sh. Bhagirath Jatav to arrange the solver Sh. Laxminarayan Jatav for appearing in lieu of him in the written examination of Forest Guard 2013 conducted by Vyapam at a School in Morena (Madhya Pradesh).

After investigation, CBI had filed a chargesheet on 29.06.2016 in the Designated Court against four accused. The offence pertains to impersonation, cheating and forgery committed by the said accused persons. The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted them.
