HARYANA ANNOUNCES CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE TO DEAF AND DUMB EMPLOYEES

Chandigarh (Face2News) The Haryana Government has decided to give conveyance allowance to Deaf and Dumb employees including hearing impaired employees at the rate of 10 per cent of basic pay with effect from May 1, 2018. Giving details an official spokesperson said that the conveyance allowance of 10 per cent subject to minimum Rs. 2500 and maximum of Rs. 7200 would be given to the deaf and dumb employees including hearing impaired employees with 60 decibels or more in better ear in the conversation range of frequencies as per Persons with Disabilities (Equal opportunities, protection of Right and Full Participation) Act 1995. The dearness allowance at the prevailing rate would also be admissible on conveyance allowance, he added. He said that the conveyance allowance would be admissible subject to recommendations by the head of ENT department of a Government Hospital. This allowance would not be applicable to those employees who are covered under these rules but are provided vehicle facility at Government expenses, he said. IPRDH/2018
