SCHOLARSHIP CASES IN HIMACHAL: CM HANDS OVER CASES TO CBI FOR PROBEL

Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today said that the state government has decided to go for CBI enquiry in the scholarship case which was being investigated since year 2013/2014.

He was presiding over a meeting of senior officers of the state government organised here today to review the scholarship schemes of the Centre and State governments in which various anomalies were found.

The Chief Minister said that now onwards only one student would be provided scholarship on one bank account and no scholarship would be given without Aadhar number.

He said that these scholarship schemes were being implemented to benefit the students of SC, ST, OBC and minorities sections of the society and no lapse would be tolerated at any cost.

Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Chief Secretary Vineet Chawdhry and other senior officers of the state government were present in the meeting.
