HARYANA POLICE SEIZES HUNDRED BOXES OF ILLEGAL INDIAN MADE FOREIGN LIQUOR FROM REWARI

Continuing action against those involved in smuggling of illegal liquor, Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Haryana Police have seized 100 boxes of illegal Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth lakh of rupees from district Rewari. Police have also arrested two persons and impounded a pick-up vehicle in this connection.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that arrested accused had been identified as Vinod Kumar, driver, a resident of Dadri and Shrikant of Jhanjharia. During preliminary investigation, accused revealed that they had brought liquor from Jharli and transporting it to supply in Dahina.

He said that police team on getting a tip-off had put barricades near village Bahala in Rewari and arrested both accused with pick-up van having 100 boxes of IMFL worth Rs four lakh. A case under Excise Act had been registered against the accused and further investigation is in progress.
