University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh  is hosting its 2nd  edition of Surana and Surana & UILS National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition 2018.

The event embarked on 2nd November, 2018.  24 teams from different law schools all over India competed in two preliminary rounds and only 8 teams could make it to the Quarter finals which were held on 3rd November,

2018. A total of 24 judges adjudicated both the preliminary rounds and were highly satisfied with the performance of all the teams. Quarter finals were adjudged by 12 judges and all the judges belonged to the environmental field and were either practicing advocates or academicians. 

Inspite of unexpected rain, the Organising Committee put up a great show and the venue of lunch was shifted indoors. In the evening, the Cultural Society in collaboration with the Moot Court Society of UILS organised a Dandiya night where all the teams had a gala time.

The Semi- finals and Final round will be held on 4th November, 2018 which will followed by a valedictory ceremony and the winning team will take back home a prestigious trophy along with a lucrative cash prize.
