INTERNATIONAL RENUKA FAIR: CM INAUGURATES FIRST CULTURAL EVENING

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated the first cultural night of International Renuka fair by lighting the lamp at historic holy place Renuka Ji in Sirmour district last evening. Chief Minister also released souvenir brought out by the organisers on the occasion.

  While congratulating the people of the state in general and of Sirmour district in particular, on the occasion of the International Renuka fair Jai Ram Thakur said that the Himachal Pradesh was known for its colourful and rich cultural and tradition. He said that fairs and festivals celebrated in every nook and corners of the State not only symbolises rich culture heritage of the State but also ensure conservation of rich culture and tradition of the state. He said that thus it becomes responsibility of everyone of us to promote and preserve the culture of the State for the coming generations.

Jai Ram Thakur said that SDM office would be opened at Sangrah from next financial year. He also announced IPH Sub Division for Dadhau.

Chief Minister said that the Renuka fair was a symbol of reunion of mother and her son. He said that the fairs and festivals were vital for strengthening the bond of brotherhood amongst the different sections of society. He said that the present state government was working with a sole aim of overall development of the State. He said that the present tenure of the state government has ensured balanced development of every area of the State and welfare of every section of the society.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the previous government in the State opened educational and health institutions in the state in the fag end of its tenure. He said that five degree colleges were announced for Sirmour district alone during the tenure of the previous state government and that too few months before assembly elections and with budget provision of Rs. One lakh each for these colleges.

The Chief Minister said that the state was fortunate to have benevolence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that today he has been acknowledged as a world leader even by developed countries.

For Nahan Assembly Constituency, Chief Minister announced upgradation of Government High School Misserwala to Senior Secondary School, Government Middle School Lohgarh to High School and opening ITI at Kolawala Bhood.

For Poanta Sahib constituency, Chief Minister announced Police Station for Puruwala, ITI at Amboa, upgradation of Government High School Rampurghat to Senior Secondary School, Rs. 10 lakh for Beharwala Road, upgradation of Government High Schools Ghaira and Dhudham Matiyana to Senior Secondary Schools.

For Shillai constituency, Chief Minister announced Mukhiya Mantri Lok Bhawan at Kafotta, opening of ITI for Sataun, Opening of Civil Court at Shillai and Rs. 10 lakh for channelisation of Ambon Khad. He also announced upgradation of Government High School Sadyar to Senior Secondary School. A part from Shillai Civil Courts would also be opened at Tisa and Banjar. For Renuka Constituency, he announced opening of Mukhiya Mantri Lok Bhawan at Andheri, Rs 25 lakh for three link roads and Rs. 10 lakh for Kinkri Devi Memorial Park Sangrah.Various social, cultural and political organisations honoured the Chief Minister on the occasion. 
The Chief Minister was also presented a cheque of Rs. 51,000 Swami Dayanand Bharti Founder of Gayatri Mandir Shri Renukaji towards the Chief Ministers Relief Fund.A documentary on Shri Renukaji was also released on the occasion.

Speaker Vidhan Sabha Dr. Rajiv Bindal while addressing the gathering said that the Sirmour district has immense tourism potential and urged the Chief Minister to explore this potential. He said that this would open new vistas of employment to the youth of the State. He thanked the Chief Minister for providing developmental projects worth crores of rupees for Sirmour district.Member of Parliament Virender Kashyap also spoke on the occasion. He said that whole state in general and Sirmour district in particular was poised on the path of progress and prosperity under the leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. He said that the Union Government has a approved several developmental schemes worth crores or rupees for the state.

MLA Pachhad Suresh Kashyap, MLA Shillai Harshvardhan Chauhan and MLA Poanta Sahib Sukhram Chaudhary also spoke on the occasion and listed various developmental demands of their respective area.Vice Chairman State Civil Supplies Corporation Baldev Tomar while addressing the gathering said that Renuka fair was one of the most old and traditional fair of the state and has a very ancient history.MLA Renuka Vinay Kumar welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries to his home constituency. He urged the Chief Minister to take up the matter of declaring Hatti community as scheduled tribe with the Government of India.BJP Leader from the area Balbir also spoke on the occasion and listed various demands of the area.

Chairman, International Renuka Fair and Deputy Commissioner, Sirmaur, Lalit Jain welcomed and honoured the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion by presenting them Shawl, Himachali Cap and memento.   Vice Chairman State Agriculture Marketing Board Baldev Bhandari, District BJP President Vinay Gupta, President Zila Parishad Dalip Chauhan, were present on the occasion among others.

Rs. 183 Crore being spent on various road projects in Renuka area   

Rs. 183 Crore were being spent under various projects for the improvement of roads in Renuka constituency so as to provide better facilities to the people. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur stated this while addressing the gathering after inaugurating Mini Secretariat building constructed at a cost of Rs. 6.77 Crore at Sangrah in district Sirmaur. He said that Mini Secretariat would ensure various services under one roof. Earlier, he also laid the foundation stone of double lane bridge constructed at the cost of Rs. 14.27 Crore on Renuka Ji Giri River in Nahan-Dadahu-Haripurdhar road.

The Chief Minister said that the present government have introduced 30 new schemes in the budget and implementation of these schemes has already been started to ensure better facilities at their door-steps of people of rural areas. He said that development was a continuous process and State government had created a history by getting sanctioned developmental projects worth nine thousand crores for the State during the tenure of only ten months which would further intensify the pace of development in the state.

He urged the youth to stay away from any kind of drugs and make their life worthwhile. He said that drugs of any kind lead to destruction of life and to curb this menace the State government had undertaken various campaigns. These campaigns would help in fighting against drugs in order to save the youth from this social vice. He said that meeting of Chief Ministers of four states was held in Chandigarh to chalk out the joint strategy to fight against drug abuse.  Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr. Rajeev Bindal, MLA's Sukh Ram Chaudhary, Suresh Kashyap & Vinay Kumar, Vice Chairman Agriculture Marketing Board Baldev Bhandari,  Vice Chairman State Civil Supplies Corporation Baldev Tomar, former Vice Chairman SC/ST Corporation Balbir Chauhan, BJP Mandal  President Pratap Tomar, Deputy Commissioner Sirmour Lalit Jain, S.P. Rohit Malpani and other dignitaries were present on the occasion among others.
