DELHI POLICE BUSTED INTERSTATE GANG OF 'GADDIBAAZ' CHEATS SENIOR CITIZENS AND WOMEN , FIVE ARRESTED

Crime Branch (SOS-II) has busted a gang of cheats who used fakecurrency notes to dupe innocent victims. So far 09 cases have been foundregistered against them in Delhi and Haryana. The arrested persons are: 1. Praveen @ Langda r/o Sector-18, Rohini, Delhi aged 35 yrs2. Anil r/o Sector-27, Rohini, Delhi aged 23 Yrs3. Amit r/o Sector-27, Rohini, Delhi Aged 32 Yrs4. RamChander @ Sinku r/o Sector-27, Rohini Delhi Aged 26Yrs and 5. JitenderKumar @ Sapaat r/o Sector 27, Rohini, Delhi Aged-29Y ears. 

The gang was also caught onCCTV camera footage in Panipat, Haryana and a case vide FIR No. 1536/18 dated 20.11.18 u/s 420/34 IPC PS Panipat City (Haryana) was found registered for thesame. Praveen is the leader of the gang and has at least 12 criminal casesregistered against him at various police stations in Delhi. Other gang membersalso have criminal cases registered against them. 

Mr. RAJIV RANJAN IPS, Addl Commissioner of Police, said  information about the gag was received in SOS-II, Crime Branch. A teamof dedicated personnel led by Inspr. Rajeev Ranjan comprising of SI NaveenKumar, ASI Harvinder Singh, ASI Sanjay Kumar, ASI Naresh, HC Himanshu, HCRajeev Raghav, and Ct. Sandeep under close supervision of Sh. Anil Dureja,ACP/SOS-II was formed to bust this gang.On 27.11.18, HC Himanshu, HC Rajeev Raghav developed specificinformation about the gang. All five cheats were apprehended near Gate No. 3,Japanese Park, Rohini, Delhi.

During interrogation, the gangadmitted to involvement in numerous cases of cheating in Delhi and Haryana.They were caught on CCTV Camera in the Panipat case, in which they had cheatedone person of Rs. 2 lakhs after showing and luring him with Rs. 4 lakhs (fakenotes). At their instance, 09 criminal cases of cheating were found registeredas given below.  Concerned Police Stations have beeninformed about their arrest. Further investigation in the case is on.
