SENIOR CITIZENS OF OLD AGE HOME FELICITATED ON GOOD GOVERNANCE DAY

Senior citizens were felicitated by placing Tilak by Vedic Mantras for their better health by giving them fruit basket and shawls. 

 
 
  
Neena Tewari, social worker and State Awardee who was the organiser of the event said, Parents are like God, they not only raise children, but they also present a right path of life along with good rituals as well as a path-seeing person. If the comparison of parents is done with God, there will be no overlap in it. 

If children realize that their parents are both their teacher and goddess, then today there will not be any old age home in the country, she said. The occasion was held at Hanumantha Dham Mandir at Sector 40 B, on the occasion of Good Governance Day. 

The Chief Guest was the State President of BJP, Chandigarh, Sanjay Tandon. During this, along with them former Municipal Mayor of Chandigarh, Asha Jaiswal of Chandigarh, former Mayor Kamla Sharma, also accompanied them. 

The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest by lighting the lamp. After which the respected senior citizens from the Old Age Home located at Sector 15 were honored by placing Tilak by the Vedic Mantras, giving their fruit basket and shawl while wishing for their better health. Receiving this respect, his face bloomed and he praised this effort of Neena Tewari and thanked the people present and congratulated them for their good wishes. 

On this occasion, Neena Tewari also honored Pushpa Goyal senior citizens who were involved in social welfare. 

On this occasion, Sanjay Tandon expressed his views on the subject of the ceremony and stressed on honoring his parents. At the same time Asha Jaiswal described the parents as a street viewer in life, Kamala Sharma called her parents as worshipable as God.
