CHEATING VIA OLX: SARANGPUR POLICE MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS, ELEVEN MOBILES RECOVERED FROM ACCUSED

In a major breakthrough on Wedenesday  the team of P.S Sarangpur of Chandigarh Police under the supervision of DSP Krishan Kumar team headed by SHO Sarangpur Mr. Ram Ratan Sharma, is able to arrest the three person who are involved in Cheating cases from Various parts in Chandigarh were produced today in District Court where two-two days police remand have been granted of all the accused persons. Total 11 Mobile phone recovered From accused.

On secret information was received that the above said accused persons were in the House of their Brother in Law Jarnail Singh at House No. 3022 Sector 40 Chandigarh. On this information a team headed by SHO Sarangpur Mr. Ram Ratan Sharma, raided at the above mentioned House, where Sajjan Sharma his real brother Rahul Sharma got arrested.On investigation it came to know that they both are involved in any cheating cases as same as the above mentioned case. They also disclose that their brother in Law Jarnail Singh was also involved in these cheating cases along with them and thereafter police arrested Jarnail singh also.

During Investigation, total 11 Mobile phones have been recovered from the said accused persons, including 3 Mobile phones which were recovered yesterday. Investigation is going on, more recoveries will be expected.

Police said, accused identified as  Sajjan Sharma S/o Late Vijay Kumar R/o House No. 841/1 Sector 41 Chandigarh (Age 25 years).  Rahul Sharma S/o Late Vijay Kumar R/o House No. 841/1 Sector 41 Chandigarh (Age 30 years).  Jarnail Singh S/o Balwinder Singh R/o House No. 3022 Sector 40 Chandigarh (Age 28 years). 

Police spokesman said, December 26 Complainant Navneet Singh S/o Sh Kulwant Singh R/o House No. 1018 Sector 23B Chandigarh, stated that he, gave an advertisement on OLX for the sale of my I Phone 8 Colour Gold IMEI No. 356702086973063 and thereafter on 08.12.2018 two person contacted him on my mobile phone and asked him to meet near EWS Colony, Dhanas as they were already present there.

He further stated that he met them near EWS Colony, Dhanas and introduce themselves as Sajjan Sharma and Rahul, they also provided me their mobile no (1) 7087140095 (2) 9501940095. He showed them his above mentioned phone and the deal was finalized in Rs. 30500. The told him that they are not having cash amount at present and they have showed him that there is enough money in their account related to which the will give a cheque.

Firstly he refused, asked them to pay cash for the purchase of his mobile phone but they kept on insisting for p ayment by cheque. The allured him for payment by cheque and believing their words. He agreed for the paypment by cheque. Sajjan Sharma handed over a cheque No. 10019342 Dt. 08.12.2018, cheque Branch Chandigarh/Sector 22-C and he handed over him his mobile phone along with its bill and they went away on a car.

Thereafter on 10.12.2018 when he presented the cheque in bank at that time bank officials told him that there is not sufficient amount in the account. Thereafter complainant visited House No. B/12-296 Village Naya Gaon, the address which was told by Sajjan Sharma to him and he came to k now that no such person is living at this address. As per complaint FIR Lodged u/s IPC 420, 120-B dt 26.12.2018 against the said accused person. 

On 26.12.2018 secret information was received that the above said accused persons were in the House of their Brother in Law Jarnail Singh at House No. 3022 Sector 40 Chandigarh.
