GURINDER SINGH KHALSA OF AMBALA APPOINTED BOARD MEMBER OF FISHERS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND PLANNING COMMISSION

Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness on Sunday appointed Gurinder Singh Khalsa, who hails from Ambala (India), as Board Member of Economic Development and Planning Commission. Mayor Scott disclosed this during the celebration of 352nd birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of Sikhs, Sikh Community, at the Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar here.

Earlier, Sikhs Political Action Committee founder and chairman Gurinder Singh Khalsa was appointed Director City Building Corporation, Fishers by the Mr Mayor Scott Fadness last year.

Mayor Scott disclosed this during the celebration of 352nd birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of Sikhs, Sikh Community, at the Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar here.

Mayor Scott Fadness also asked Mr Gurinder Singh Khalsa to ensure that someone from the Sikh community backfills his previous role to ensure the Sikh community is properly represented and no momentum is lost.  The gathering concluded with the Sikh community awarding the Mayor with a medal honoring him for his continuous sincere efforts for inclusion and diversity.

On this occasion, Sikh Community launched a $ 3 million gurdwara project (Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar) on the existing propery in Fishers. Plans are in the works to replace the current building with a new Sikh Gurdwara. Fisher’s Police Officer, Troy Fettinger, Noblesville GOP Co-Chair and Tiffany Pascoe were among those who attended the launching of a $3 million building project.
