CHANDIGARH POLICE ORGANISED WORKSHOP ON DEVELOPING COLLABORATGE MECHANISM BETWEEN LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES

 One   day workshop for police staff for Developing Collaborate Mechanism between Law Enforcement Agencies and  Chandigarh SACS, U.T. Chandigarh regarding sensitized police staff about HIV/AIDS/STIs alongwith sensitization on the issues like repeal and decriminalization of Section 377 IPC and others related HRGs including sex worker, drug users was organized in two shifts i.e. 10.00AM to 12.30 Noon and 02.30PM to 05.00PM at Multi Media Centre, Recruitment Training Centre, Sector-26, Chandigarh.

Sh. Daleep Rattan, DSP, Recruitment & Training UT, Chandigarh welcomed the Chief Guest Sh. Mahavir Singh, Members Secretary-cum-Judge State Legal Services Authority, UT Chandigarh and presented a report on the issue. He stated that this workshop is being organized about the awareness of HIV/AIDS/STIs alongwith sensitization on the issues like repeal and decriminalization of Section 377 IPC, approx. 100 police officers/officials took part in the said event in two shifts (50+50). Dr. Jitender Dahiya, Deputy Director, CSASC, also addressed the audience about basic of HIV Aids and practical issues being faced by LGBT Community, sex worker and others HRGs.
