CII -Yi Corporate Premier League 2019, being organised by CII Yi Chandigarh Tricity Chapter got underway with Cricket Matches at Barwala Cricket Ground. Team CII-Yi started their campaign with a scintillating victory, thrashing Team TT Consultants by 6 wickets. TT Consultants won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, TT Consultants scored 146 runs off seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs against CII-Yi. Man of the match Javed from Team CII-Yi top scored with 52 off 39 balls while Ratanjit chipped in with 45 off 39 balls. Gurvinder Saini, Pardeep Dhiman and Manpreet from Team CII-Yi grabbed two wickets each and set the stage for their team’s victory, while Sushil Chaudary scalped one wicket. From TT Consultants' side Vishek grabbed two wickets and Pranav Sharma and Sanket Kumar took one wicket each.

In another exciting match, Team Federal Mogul defeated team Ambrozia Warriors by 28 runs to register their victory in the second match held during the day. Federal Mogul won the toss and elected to Bat. Batting first, Federal Mogul scored 133 runs off 9 wickets in 20 overs, with Surinder topping the score chart scoring 43 runs off 54 balls, including six fours. From Federal Mogul, Bhupinder Mattu was declared Man of the Match.Batting second, Ambrozia Warriors' batsmen struggled to settle down and were bundled out for 105 in 17.3 overs. Rakesh from Ambrozia Warriors took four wickets, while Ajay grabbed two wickets. 10 Cricket teams would fight it out for the Champion’s Trophy.
