DRUG ADDICT NABBED WITH STOLEN ACTIVA, THREE LCD ALSO RECOVERED

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when police team nabbed one Taranjit Singh S/o Shri Amrik Singh R/o Present Address -House No. 387, Sector-40-C, Chandigarh, Permanent Address – Village- Salamatpur, Tehsil-Kharar, Distt-Mohali (Punjab) Age-29 Years and 01 case of MV theft has been worked out.

Police said, on the intervening night of 16/17.05.2019 at about 22.50 hours, while police party of Ps-39 was conducted night checking near Labour Chowk, Sector-41, Chandigarh in view of forthcoming General Lok Sabha Election 2019, one person who was driven a Honda Activa stopped for checking.

During checking he could not produce any documents. On further verification, the said Activa Honda found stolen from Sector-40 vide FIR No. 65 dated 15.03.2019 U/S 379 IPC. The number plates affixed on Activa found fake and further Sections of law i.e. 473 & 411 IPC added. Accused Taranjit Singh arrested accordingly. During preliminary interrogation, 03 more LCDs has been recovered from the accused U/s 102 Cr.P.C. which were found to be stolen by accused from the area of Mohali. He has also confessed that he was also indulged to stolen batteries to fulfill his requirement of drug at Naya Gaon- Mullanpur area. 

Accused Taranjit Singh habitaul drug addict S/o Shri Amrik Singh R/o Present Address -House No. 387, Sector-40-C, Chandigarh, Permanent Address – Village- Salamatpur, Tehsil-Kharar, Distt-Mohali (Punjab), Age-29 Years, Qualification-8th Pass, Occupation- Crusher Sand & Bajri, Marital Status-Married having one female child, Family Background-Father is farmer Habits-Habitual Drug Addict.

Police recovered three branded LCDs value Approximately Rs. 65,000/-. and one Activa Honda value approximately Rs. 55,000/-

Police workd two cases of Sector 39, Chandigarh.  He was earlied booked by Mullanpur Police in drug case in the year 2017.
