MANOHAR HAPPY ON SUCCESS OF ZIG ZAG TECHNOLOGY USED IN BRICK KILNS

The Chief Minister of Haryana, Mr. Manohar Lal has expressed happiness over the success of zig-zag technology used in the brick kilns. The zig-zag technology is used in brick kilns for protection of environment. The technology has controlled the pollution spread from brick kilns besides increasing the production of quality bricks.

The Chief Minister gave this information after meeting with office bearers of brick-kiln association in Jhajjar today.

In the meeting, brick-kiln operators informed that before the use of zig-zag technology, the production of quality bricks were 70 per cent which has now increased to 82 per cent. In series to meet district wise representatives of biggest industries in Haryana, Chief Minister met with office-bearers of the brick kiln association of district Jhajjar today.

Chief Minister gave his assurance to sympathetically consider their demands. He said that the officers of the Power Department will be asked to consider the independent feeder scheme. More than 3,500 villages of eight districts of Haryana are being supplied with 24 hours of electricity. Similarly, the Industries and Commerce Department will work on Research and Development of the brick-kiln industry. 

In the meeting, the President of Brick-kiln Association, Mr. Satpal Deshwal raised several demands including a special feeder for the kiln industry, license fee, research and development in brick kiln area and law and order.

The Chief Minister gave his assurance to sympathetically consider their demands. He said that the officers of the Power Department will be asked to consider the independent feeder scheme. More than 3,500 villages of eight districts of Haryana are being supplied with 24 hours of electricity. Similarly, the Industries and Commerce Department will work on Research and Development of the brick-kiln industry. He asked the brick kiln operators to assist in the preparation of Detailed Project Report of this work. Keeping in view the growing challenges in this field, there is a great need of innovation. He also directed the Superintendent of Police to take necessary action in matters related to law and order.

In the meeting, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. O.P. Prakash Dhankar asked the office bearers of the brick kiln association to build good quality toilets in their units and motivate the workers to use them. He said that Haryana has become open defecation free state. The suggestion by Mr. Dhankar was appreciated by the Chief Minister and the brick kiln operators.

The Agriculture Minister said that the District Jhajjar is leading in brick kiln industry and has been providing employment to the youth in large number. The brick kiln industry of district Jhajjar is supplying bricks in Delhi and NCR region. He said that today, the Chief Minister has listened to the problems and demands of the brick operators of the district. The State Government will seriously consider the demands of brick kiln operators, he added.

Member of Parliament from Rohtak, Dr. Arvind Sharma and MLA, Mr. Naresh Kaushik were also present in the meeting.
