MEDIA PERSONS EXHORTED TO ELIMINATE WIDESPREAD NEGATIVITIES, EVILS

Abohar: The 4-day Media Conference, organised at Gyan Sarovar Academy in Mt Abu by the Media Wing of Brahmakumaris to discuss “Media, Spirituality and Social Transformation” concluded last evening with an optimistic note.

The 7-point resolution adopted in the session said that in the changing environment, mere social transformation is not enough; change has been always at surface level and will go on like this. Change to bring holistic transformation is only possible by assimilating spiritual knowledge, qualities and powers, by practice and application in thoughts, contemplation and life of the human beings (souls).

The speakers for the valedictory session were: Dr. Bharati Bala Patnaik Principal College of Mass Communication in Sanjay Memorial Institute of Technology Berhampur in Odisha, Rajesh Asnani Senior Asstt Editor New Indian Express, BK Komal Editor (News) Peace of Mind TV, Dr. Niranjana Vadodara, BK Sushant Delhi, BK Nathmal Cuttack and Dr. Yudhishthir Associate Editor the World Renewal. Shilpa from Belagavi Karnataka enthralled the audience by presenting dance.

The resolution said that to bring revolutionary transformation; the role and responsibility of media are very great and significant. Media have to make them strong, able, healthy, prosperous and holistic with assimilation of spiritual powers, inculcation of spiritual values and practical experience of noble thoughts and feelings.

For the upliftment of the society by maintaining a perfect balance between social responsibilities, the media have to practise inculcation of spiritual knowledge, universal values, Rajyoga Meditation, healthy, simple and positive lifestyles.

Mediapersons need to eliminate widespread negativities, evils, debauchery, corruption, violence and terror by spreading truth and goodness through integration of values and spirituality in self and journalism.

The participants assured to support Brahmakumaris’ Spiritual Awareness Campaign, aimed to empower media by arranging get-togethers, seminars, discourses and dialogues at all levels. They took the pledge for individual and collective spiritual upliftment and to establish core media values, and also pledge to stand for every effort, which is made to create peace, goodwill, unity, integrity universal brotherhood and holistic progress of the nation and society.
