KULLU: BUS FALLS IN 300 METER DEEP NULLAH, 44 DIES

At least 44 people were killed and 305 others severely injured when a overcroad bus having more than 70 pessengers fell into a deep drain in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday, officials said.

The private bus (bearing registration number HP 66-7065) fell into the over 300-metre-deep nullah near the Dhoth Morh in Banjar tehsil of the district, Kullu Superintendent of Police Shalini Agnihotri said.

 The bus was on its way to Gada Gushaini, she said, adding that a rescue operation is on. Rescue team rush to spot and with the help of locals rescue operation is going on. SDM M.R.Bhardwaj administration has immediately released 50 thousands and the dead bodies are being identified to provide compensation to the victims. 

The Prime Minister Narinder Modi and Congress President Rahlu Gandhi condoles the sad demise of bus pessengers.
