HARYANA POLICE ARRESTED DRUG PEDDLER IN FATEHABAD WITH 50 LACS HEROIN

Effecting one of the biggest seizure of heroin in Fatehabad, Haryana Police has arrested a drug peddler from Bhuna and recovered 446 gram heroin, 3.200 kg ganja, Rs 11 lakh cash and a currency counting machine from his possession. The value of seized heroin in the international market is around Rs 50 lakh.

Stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that arrested accused was identified as Aakash alias Rinku, a resident of Power house, Valmiki mohalla, Bhuna. He was arrested by a team of crime investigation agency following a tip off.

Divulging details about the seizure, he said that when CIA team after getting specific information, raided the accused house, he try to run away with a bag in his hand. Alert police immediately nabbed him at a short distance and recovered 446 grams of heroin and 3 kg 200 gram ganja from his possession. Police has also recovered Rs11 lakh cash earned by sale of narcotics and a currency counting machine from cupboard of accused house.

During preliminary interrogation, the accused revealed that he had brought seized narcotics from a Nigerian in Delhi.

A case under the provisions of NDPS Act was registered against the accused in Bhuna Police station. He would be taken on remand by producing in the Court so that others involved in this racket of drug peddling could be unearthed.

Meanwhile, Director General of Police, Mr Manoj Yadava appreciated the efforts of SP Fatehabad Mr Vijay Pratap Singh and his entire team for constantly crackdown on drug-peddlers in the district.  He also urged the people to come forward fearlessly and share information about the sale and consumption of drug with the Police to completely combat the menace from the society.
