HARYANA POLICE ARRESTED FOUR PERSONS WITH HEROIN AND CHARAS FROM SIRSA AND AMBALA

In an anti-narcotic drive, Haryana Police has seized 47 gram of heroin from district Sirsa and 1 kg 500 gram charas in Ambala. Police has arrested four persons in this connection.

While stating this here today, a spokesperson of the Police department said that as a part of a special campaign, two scooty-borne youth Piyush and Keshav alias Kanu, both resident of Parmarth Colony, Begu road, Sirsa were apprehended by personnel of Anti Narcotic Cell during patrolling from Shamshabad, Patti Kaleniyan road after 40 gram of heroin was recovered from their possession.

In another case, a team of Anti Narcotic Cell nabbed Makhan Singh, a resident of Sukh Sagar Colony, Begu Road Sirsa on the charges of possessing 7 gram heroin.

In a separate case, Police in Ambala district has seized 1 kg 500 gram charas from accused, Rajesh, a resident of village Fatehpur, Naraingarh.

He said that cases under the provisions of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Act have been registered against them in different Police Stations. Further investigation is underway.
