Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Punjab, chief and Sangrur Member of Parliament (MP), Bhagwant Mann, has said that in the wake of Congress Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) Partap Singh Bajwa’s bold utterances against Captain Amarinder Singh over the allegations on the sensitive incident of desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib at Bargari had exposed the legendary bonhomie between the Badal family and the ‘Royals’, saying both were playing a ‘friendly game’ between them.

PARTAP SINGH BAJWA’S ALLEGATIONS PUT STAMP ON CAPTAIN-BADAL LEGENDARY BONHOMIE: AAP

In a statement issued from the party headquarters in Chandigarh on Saturday, Mann said that the raging accusation by party stalwart should not be seen in isolation, adding that during the meeting of the Congress MLAs and ministers during the recently-concluded Monsoon Assembly Session, some of the leaders had come out in the open in criticizing CM Captain Amarinder Singh for his unfailing love for the Badals, saying the tardy investigations into the Bargari incidents were aimed at protecting the Badals, whose names had been prominently figured in certain investigation reports.

The AAP leader further said that Captain Anarinder Singh went on to downplay the serious allegations leveled against him by Bajwa over reneging on the poll promise made to the people, saying “Captain had been indulging in misleading the people of the state by lying on the issue of desecration allowing it to move at a snail’s pace amid weathering many a hiccups”.

Mann reiterated that the AAP had been crying hoarse for a long time highlighting the colossal failures of the erstwhile SAD-BJP and now that of the Captain Amarinder Singh government, including the Himalayan Bargari botch-up, with the investigations changing hands, more often than not, apparently to offer protective cover to the Badals, saying the power drunk party honchos took it lightly.

Mann said that Captain Amrinder Singh, who was under fire from his own party colleagues, should choose either the Badals or the people of the state so that investigations could be taken to a conclusive end bringing those behind the sacrilegious acts to justice, stating that he (Captain) should accept the facts given the unending din of the raging allegations by none other than his party colleagues.
