CHANDIGARH POLICE NABBED NIGERIAN DRUG PEDDLER WITH DRUG ‘ICE’

  Cracking the whip on the drug paddlers, on 28.08.2019, a team of Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police under the supervision of Inspector Sher Singh, I/C Crime Branch and close guidance of Sh. Rajeev Kumar Ambasta, DANIPS, DSP Crime succeeded in apprehending one Nigerian native drug peddler namely Christropher Ikechukwu by SI Ashok Kumar, Crime Branch with the help of his team officials on by chance recovery.

While, this team was on patrolling in the area of Police Station, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh with regards to prevention and control of crime and when was present at Kacha Rasta, Near Park, situated near Airport Light Point in Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh, just at that time, one person came there, towards Airport Light Point side on foot and on seeing police party returned, immediately, as such, on the basis of suspicion, he was stopped by SI Ashok Kumar and his team and his checking was made.

In the meantime, he made tried to throw some material which, he had held in his right pocket of his pant, but same was held by police party. On further checking from polythene envelope, Ephedrine & Pseudoephedrine drugs, which is called Ice in foreign market language recovered from his possession and on weighting, it was found 102 gms.

On asking, he disclosed his name as Christrochen Ikechukwa and could not produce any type of permit/license for holding the drugs in his possession. Consequent, case FIR No. 155 dated 28.08.2019 u/s 25-A NDPS Act, PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh has been registered against the accused Christropher Ikechukwu s/o Apch, Gali No. 9 near Rama Park, Dwarka Mor, New Delhi, Nigerian Native, age-40 yrs..

Police said, accuded residing in Gali No. 9, near Rama Park, Dwarka Mor, New Delhi ans a permanent resident of Adani Nsuka, City Nsuka, State, Eneugu, Nigeria.
