BSF SEIZED 5.125 KG HEROIN FROM INDO PAK BORDER IN FEROZEORE SECTOR

Border Security Force (BSF) troops on Saturday morning seized 5.125 KG contraband heroin near Indo Pak Border in Ferozepore Sector. The contraband valuing Rs. over Rs. 25 Crores in international market.

BSF spokesman from Punjab Frontier BSF said, on Saturday morning alert  Border Security Force troops seized five packet of contraband (Weight approx- 5.125 kg) suspected to be Heroin in the area of responsibility of Border Out Post- Maboke, Ex- 29 Bn BSF, Ferozepur Sector. 

Spokesman further said, during night hours, vigilant BSF troops of Border Out Post Maboke, Ex- 29 Bn BSF, noticed some suspicious movement ahead of Border Security Fence and got alerted. Instantly, Border Security Force troops challenged the suspected smugglers to stop their misadventure but smugglers managed to escape taking advantage of darknessand fully grown paddy crops. Later, during search 05 packets of contraband (weightapprox.-5.125 kg) suspected to be heroin recovered from the spot. The enhanced vigil of BSF has once again thwarted the attempt of Anti-National Elements to push the consignment of contraband items into India.

During the year 2019, BSF has  seized191.413 Kgs (including today’s Seizure of approx. 5.125 kgs) heroin valuing billion of rupees in international market.
