RANA SODHI TO RECEIVE BIKE RALLY AT GURU NANAK STADIUM DERA BABA NANAK

BIKE RALLY FLAGGED OFF FROM FEROZEPUR TO MARK 550TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF GURU NANAK DEV

In order to spread the message of peace and harmony on 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev – founder of Sikhism, a bike rally was flagged off today from Ferozepur by Sunil Kumar Sharma, District Sports Officer along with Harish Monga, Chairman, NGOs Coordination Society.

Divulging with more details, Sunil Kumar Sharma, DSO said, “In the Cycle Rally – a symbol of peace and harmony, in all 8 cyclists from Ferozepur have moved for Amritsar, to join the 64.5 km in 1 hour 38 min Cycle Rally from Amritsar to Dera Baba Nanak (Gurdaspur). The rally start at 8 AM from Golden Gate, Amritsar

Elaborate arrangements have been by the Sports Department on the route of rally refreshment, security, health services, NSS volunteers, marshal volunteers etc for the convenience of the cyclists at every 15 km with tent, chairs and tables with ten volunteers. Ten bikes will lead the Red Flag Rally and 700 volunteers, officials and cyclists will join this rally.

Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, Sports Minister will receive the Cycle Rally in the afternoon at 1 pm at Guru Nanak Stadium from various districts of Punjab, said DSO.
